In pilot on industrial sites in India · Android app in field testing
Every shift.
Every job.
On the record.
DrishtiOps is the work app for the crews who build and maintain India’s sites — attendance, tasks, permits, photos and escalations, in Hindi and English, working with no signal. Every action becomes a record that a client, an inspector or a court can check for themselves.
- Works offline
- हिन्दी · বাংলা · ଓଡ଼ିଆ
- Signed photo evidence
- Data stored in India
Check in at the gate. A weak GPS fix reads “could not be checked” — never “outside”.
The problem
A site’s record today is a register, a chat group and a memory.
None of the three can answer the questions that come later — from the client, the inspector, the insurer, or the worker who was not paid for a day.
Who was on site?
Signed at the gate, typed up later, argued over at the end of the month.
Check-in at the gate, with the boundary verdict and who pressed the button.
Is it done?
A photo in a chat proves a photo exists. Not where, not when, not of which job.
Photo signed on the phone and bound to the task, the time and the place.
Why did it stop?
Blocked work surfaces days later, when the deadline quietly moves.
A reason and a category, escalated to a named person, with the clock running.
One app, four jobs
Built around who does what on site.
Each person sees their own work, and a guided tour in their own language points at every button the first time they open the app.
The person doing the work
Big buttons, few words, their own language, and nothing lost when the signal drops.
काम करने वाले के लिए — उसकी अपनी भाषा में।
- Check in at the gateOn their own phone, or by the supervisor on a shared crew phone.
- See and ask for workEvery open job for their crew. Ask for one; the supervisor says yes.
- Finish with a photoSigned on the phone, queued offline, sent when there is signal.
- Say why it stoppedPick a reason, hold to record a voice note. It reaches a named person.
- Raise a job or an emergencyOrdinary work starts now. Permit and high-risk work waits for a manager.
- Own their work recordA link they choose to send to their next employer. Nothing ranked.
Try it · the permit gate
Anyone can raise work. Only dangerous work waits.
Making every job wait for a manager teaches crews to work off the books. So ordinary work starts at once — and permit and high-risk work cannot start until a manager says so.
Ready to start now
Painting needs no sign-off. The crew gets on with it, and it is still on the record.
- 1A worker can create it and do it themselves.
- 2A supervisor can assign it to anyone in the organisation.
- 3Completed with a signed photo — the evidence is the same either way.
Try it · the audit trail
Records that show when they were changed.
Every change to a task goes into a hash-chained log that only grows. It is tamper-evident, not tamper-proof: an edited row breaks the chain, and the Evidence Pack hands the hashes to a third party — so a later rewrite would not match what they already hold.
Each row’s hash covers the row before it. Change any one and the check says where.

Built for the site, not the office
Gloves, sunlight, 2G and a ₹6,000 phone.
Most field software is designed at a desk and abandoned on site. DrishtiOps starts from the person with the least time, the cheapest phone and the weakest signal.
0bars
Works with no signal
Work, photos and voice notes are saved on the phone first and sent, in order, when signal returns. Nothing says “sent” before it is.
2GB
Runs on an entry-level Android
Photos are resized on the phone, uploads retry by themselves, and free space is checked before evidence is saved.
Made for gloved hands
Big targets, high contrast for sunlight, and hold-to-record voice notes instead of typing.
In the language the worker picks first
The guided tour asks for a language before anything else, then points at each real button. The Hindi is written by hand, not machine-translated.
A crew onboarded in minutes
The supervisor adds the roster; each worker scans and taps their own name. No SMS code per worker, and the age check stays intact.
For the worker
The one part of the app the worker owns.
Software that only reports on workers gets used grudgingly. Every worker can share a frozen record of their own work with their next employer — on their terms.
- They decide who sees itA link they send and can revoke. There is no lookup by name or phone number — by design.
- Not even the owner sees where it wentWhich employers a worker applied to is nobody else’s business.
- Lateness always comes with its causeWork that was late because it was blocked says so. Nothing is scored against other workers.

Compliance, built in
Ready for the labour codes and the DPDP Act.
The rules are configuration, not code: a register correction or a new retention period is a change on the server, live on every phone the same day.
Labour codes · in force 21 Nov 2025
Registers, mapped field by field
Attendance and muster roll against the central forms, with a gap report showing exactly what your records do not hold yet. Forms stay marked draft until verified.
DPDP Act 2023
No consent theatre
Processing that is part of the job is explained, not toggled. The privacy notice is in the worker’s language and readable without signing in.
Retention
As long as the law says — no longer
Registers kept five years; photographs to a schedule you choose; a legal hold freezes deletion until it is released.
Data location
Stored in India
Database and photographs in the Mumbai region. Ordinary task text may be machine-translated by a third-party service; high-risk instructions never are.
Outside access
Access that ends on its own
Read-only access for a client or inspector, granted by the owner — 30 days by default, 90 at most, revocable at any time.
Grievances
Never sent to the person it is about
A complaint about a manager is routed past them, and they cannot read it.
Pricing
Start with one site. Pay per worker who uses it.
No charge for seats nobody uses, and no charge for a worker in a month they did not use it.
